Everyone is different and different people from different walks of life learn at different speeds, because of that, there is no magic forumula as to hwo YOU can ace it and pass your driving test at the perfect date and or time. Your instructor has to make sure that you are at, or very near to, practical driving test standard when they put you in for the practical driving test.
Before you reach test standard there are several benchmarks that your instructor will look for. Many of which are mentioned in How many driving lessons are right for me? & When am i ready to take my driving test? articles.
The ability to forward plan situations based upon effective observations and the correct application of the relevant procedures. Learning to drive when all is said and done is learning to make your own decisions in advance. Once the more advanced stages of the learning experience have been completed and you can actually complete all of your manoeuvres reasonably well unaided and drive on all types of roads without too much correction then your instructor will be aware that you are entering the final phase of the process.
Instructors are teaching you to drive to quite an exacting set of standards, they are not making it up however, as mentioned in other articles, beware of dodgy instrutors there to make extra cash at your expense.
Take your test when your instructor tells you that you are ready and not before. Your chances of passing it at the first attempt will be much improved and higher, and remember, read our advice centre thoroughly before your test and you'll be fine.
Despite all the advice, we would suggest taking the test in the morning but, I personally, would take it late morning. It depends on where you live and how you feel about it. Remember to drive the speed limit or lower if the amount of traffic scares you. Also remember to check that blind spot frequently!
